METAL SPECIALITY: What does “gold-filled” mean?
The vermeil technique, or “gold-filled,” means that the base material is brass, and the coating is at least 2.5 microns thick, made of 14K pure gold. This thicker, denser coating, which is pressed into the base material, ensures the jewelry remains beautiful for a long time and is hypoallergenic.
